ABC INNOVATION: FOR AN ENTREPRENOR AFRICA

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Article 1 – Purpose
ABC Innovation competition’s goal is to reward and provide coaching to entrepreneurial projects aiming to create value for Africa.

Article 2 – Organizers
This competition is organized by the African Business Club, an association headquartered on ESCP Europe business school campus in Paris, at the following address : 79, avenue de la République 75011 PARIS – France.

Article 3 – Eligibility
Participation is free to anyone aged 18 years old at least. The project is eligible to the competition if the value proposition is located on the African continent.

Article 4 – Applications
The applicant may download the application form from the website : www.africanbusinessclub.org or can request it by sending us an e‐mail at : [email protected]

To submit his/her application, the applicant may send the filled form before the application deadline.

He/ She may also attach his/her ID card/passport attached, to the following address : [email protected] .

Article 5 – Calendar
Applications can be submitted from January 7th , 2013
The deadline for application’ submission is the April 30th , 2013 at midnight
The list of finalists will be communicated on May 20th , 2013
The presentation of the projects in front of the Jury will take place on the 14th of June 2013. The awards ceremony will take place the same day.The applicants living outside France should defend their project, can present their project by
videoconference.

Article 6 – Confidentiality
The ABC Innovation team will keep all information related to the projects confidential. Intellectual, industrial or artistic copyrights that would appear from the creation, conception,invention or from any action mentioned in an application form will remain the exclusive
property of the concerned applicant.

Article 7 – Projects evaluation and nomination
A first jury, internal to the ABC Innovation, selects the projects for the final evaluation.
The final jury, composed of experts in entrepreneurship, appoints 2 winners. The name of the jury will be announced a month prior to the final.

The main criterias for the evaluation of the projects are :
• The clarity and consistency of the project
• The feasibility of the project
• The innovative nature

Article 8 – Rewards and Prizes for winners
The following elements will be awarded to the nominees :
• Prize money
• consulting and coaching sessions with professionnals
• media coverage
• other surprises…

Article 9 : Agreement clause
The participation to the ABC Innovation competition implies the full acceptation of the present conditions by the applicant and his team.
